A jolly party from here has been camping on the Moyie River near Sinclair the past week. The party includes Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Rosebaugh and family, Miss Katherine Rosebaugh, Mrs. H.S. Gale and sons Claire and Bill, Mrs. Helmer Bangs and son Bill, Mrs. O.F. Howe and son Don, Mrs. J.E. Henry, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Garrison and family of Prineville, Ore.

A carload of six-inch steel pipe for the water department arrived the latter part of last week, and the work of installing the pipe in the alleys will commence immediately.

Law Enforcement officials scoured Boundary County yesterday afternoon looking for a gold Oldsmobile station wagon of about a mid-1960 vintage, after backpacker Dave Albertson of Los Angeles, reported he had been robbed of his pack and possessions by the person driving the automobile.
A truck loaded with hay melted to slag Friday when the hay caught on fire on Hooten Hollow Rd. North Bench Volunteer Fire Department was preparing for the wedding of two of the department’s firefighters when they were called to the scene. Once the fire was extinguished , NBVFD returned to their interrupted wedding.
Vandals have damaged a kiosk at the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge. The new forest trail kiosk, put in place 2 weeks ago by the Youth Conservation Corps. has sustained $2,000 worth of damage.
